Park swings and a TUTU

Eric and I took Kate to the park on Sunday to enjoy the beautiful sunny day. Mommy had a mission in mind though... I bought Kate a pink tutu back in May and was planning to get some pictures of her in it this summer. Well...summer flew by..and before I knew it...it was the end of September. So I was determined to get some pics of her in it before it got cold outside. It was a perfect day for pictures....warm and sunny. We went in the late afternoon....but we were still sweating. Eric was my trusty assistant..thanks hon! He didn't complain once. He was even taking pictures of me taking pictures...haha. Im sure we were quite the sight. Kate loved running down the hills with Daddy. After the photo session...we broke out the stroller for a nice sunday stroll around the park. What a wonderful life!!! I just love, love, love my hubby and baby! After our walk, we stopped at the playground to put Kate in the swing (the full seat swing for babies). She wasn't quite sure what to think. She would smile, then look a little hesitant....then another smile. Its so fun to see her react to new experiences. Yes..motherhood is truely amazing!

Nie Nie Dialogues

A couple of my friends got me interested in reading a blog written by dedicated mother and wife. Her name is Stephanie Nielson ("nie nie"). She is an incredible woman who finds the greatest joy in her family...and celebrates the little moments that daily life can bring. She is an inspiration as a woman, a mother, and a wife. Recently she was in a plane accident, which left her severely burned (over 80% of her body). My prayers go out to her and her family. Her blog is amazing and truely inspirational. The most recent posts are from other readers who have reposted some of their favorite posts. Her posts..leave off before the accident (August). If you have some time to read...I encourage you to visit her blog. Im sure your wondering why I am posting about some woman I don't even know....but all I can say is..if you read her blog, you will understand. (My friend Britany said the same thing on her blog...now I get it Brit :)....thanks) To visit her blog..click here

Growing up

My little baby is growing soo fast! I took these pictures of her the other day and she just looks soo big!! Time is going too fast. Sometimes I just want to slow the clock and keep her little forever. But then each new milestone she reaches is fun and exciting....so I've just decided that time is bittersweet. Its fun to see her grow, learn, and explore...but its also very sad that this precious time goes by too quickly.

Mommies Little Helper

Kate likes to be my little helper now. She followes me around and helps me (she thinks..haha) by emptying drawers, cupboards, bags...just about anything she can get open. She thinks its great fun! Lets just say it takes a long time to put away the laundry..because she takes the clothes out of her drawer as fast as I can put them in. At least I have found a way to entertain her while Im cooking dinner....just give her a bag full of random things...and she will empty the bag with a smile of great triumph! Ohhh... she is so incredibly YUMMY!!

Family Trip to St.George

We had our annual family trip in St.George. It was a blast! As always..there was lots of fun events planned....superheros party, Bar G Wranglers western show, family talent night...and more! Its always an adventure with Grandpa(Erics Dad) running the show. We were frequent customers at In-and-Out....YUMMY!... Rocked out on Guitar Hero (Even Grandma was jammin')..and the girls found some time to make halloween bows for the babies! Kate showed of her expert wheelbarrow racing abilites for the talent show. haha...She loved it....I wish I had a video clip of it. I'll have to try and get her on video, but like everything else..she won't do it when Im trying to film it. It was a great trip..with lots of fun new memories! Thanks Grandpa and Grandma Maz for everything. We love you!
