Sugar and Spice and all thats Nice....

Our ultrasound today revealed a little sister for Kate! Yeah!! We are thrilled. We had a feeling another little girl was on the way. I had a dream 2 nights ago that we were having a girl. Which is crazy, because I had a dream 2 nights before Kate's ultrasound that we were having a girl. I must be getting some weird mommy vibes in my sleep : )

So far, Kate hasn't gotten too excited about the news...but when we have asked her over the last couple months if she wants a sister or a brother....she usually answers sister. But I don't think she has any idea what that really means!

To our sweet baby girl... We are so excited to welcome you into our family. We already love you soo much. We can't wait to meet you. Watching you move around in my tummy today filled us with joy. You looked absolutely perfect. We praise God that you are healthy and full of life. Daddy and I love to feel your little kicks at night while we are laying in bed. We can't wait for those little movements to get even stronger as you grow.

Kate and I passing time....counting down the hours until the ultrasound apnt. It was quite windy outside today, but the fresh air felt nice.

Excited for little sister to come!!

Pure Joy

Isn't it awesome that something as simple as a swing can evoke such pure joy out of a child.

Thanks Bobby for getting Kate a swing. She loves to come to your house and soar high in her new swing!

Maybe we should have named her Elmira!?!?

Remember that character Elmira from Tiny Toons??? The one that loved to hug and squeeze animals??? The one who was often saying.. "Im gonna hug you, and kiss you, and love you forever"...and "I love cats, I love kitties, squeeze them into itty bittys". Well... that is Kate lately. She is obsessed with Dante our cat. She won't leave the poor thing alone. She often has him around the neck hugging the life out of him. We've had several discussions reminding her to be gentle with Dante and just pet him....but she can't seem to hug him enough. Oh boy.... I actually don't think he minds too much. And he usually lets her know when he's had enough.

She was actually being pretty good with him this day..and as you can tell..he is loving every minute of her attention.

St.Patty's Day Fun

I don't know what it is about holidays. But I love them. I love being festive. This year we spent the morning at the childrens museum. They were sponsoring a free day, so we cound't pass up the opportunity. I should have known that being a free day, everyone under the sun would show up. I think next time I would rather pay. It was so packed you could hardly move. Lesson learned. We still had a fun despite the chaos.
The day couldn't be complete without our traditional feast! We were lucky enough to have my grandma, mom and Bob join us again. We filled our tummies with yummy food as the Irish tunes filled the room. A perfect end to a wonderfully fun Irish inspired day.

Our St. Patty's menu (the menu is the same every year): Corned Beef with a honey dijon glaze, steamed cabbage with butter, dill and dijon and red potatoes. Yumm! And...my mom brought a fruit tart for dessert. Delicious!
