More parades and fireworks
Celebrating the 24th! Kate got to go to 2 parades that day! After the 4th..she knew just how to run out and collect the candy. After the parade, we headed over to the activities but it was HOT, HOT, HOT! Let's just say being 9 months pregnant and intense summer heat don't mix. I tried to stay in the shade as much as possible. In th evening, we enjoyed a BBQ and more fireworks. Kate is still not a fan of fireworks. She wanted to be a cuddle bug with mommy...not wanting to leave my lap! Even though I felt bad the fireworks scared her..I loved the cuddle time..I don't get it very often.
5 years of Wedded Bliss!
Happy 5 year Anniversary honey! It really has been wonderful. I love my man like crazy...even more now than when I married him. I didn't think that was possible. But it is! Even with the crazy adventures and trials of parenthood..my love just grows and grows for this man! I could not ask for a better husband and father to my children. Im one lucky gal!!
It was so nice to have a night just to focus on us. No distractions...just enjoying each other..the way it was 5 yrs ago. We went to one of our favorite restaurants and then headed downtown for the night. Thank you mom and dad Maz for taking such good care of miss Kate in our absence. She didn't even miss us...I mean, a date night (dinner and a trip to the theater to see Toy Story 3), a sleepover, a parade in the morning..and oddles of love and attention from gma and gpa...what kid wouldn't be in heaven. Thanks again!!
All dressed up for a special night with my hubby!

Yum!! Beef tenderloin smothered in mushrooms and fresh grilled veggies!

Our own private balcony with a fantastic view of downtown...and the whole valley

Getting ready to enjoy the sunset with our sparkling apple cider and cheescake

Breath taking..pictures never do a sunset justice!

Enjoying breakfast on our balcony

I love you sweetie! Thanks for the wonderful night!

Wildflower Festival
A few weeks ago, we went to a wildflower festival. It was still a little early for most of the wildflowers...but there were some just starting to bloom. It was still beautiful and I love any excuse to get up in the mountains. Kate loves being outside, especially in the mountains...so she thought it was fantastic. Of coarse...I made sure to charge my camara battery the night before..and made sure to grab my camara on the way out the door....but...once we got up there, I quickly realized the camara battery was still at home in the charger. Haha..I had good intentions...but my brain is a little scattered these days. Thank goodness for cell phone camaras!! I was impressed..it actually took fairly decent pics..just the color isn't quite as good.

We took Kate on the kids walk...which was an easy hike focused on colors, shapes and learning about the wildflowers. There was also a kids tent sent up that had sidewalk chalk and a tissue paper flower making station. Kate was sooo proud of her flower and wanted to wear it all day.
On the way home..she kept saying "hiking in the mountains..that was soo fun" and " i love my flower"

Preggy Yoga
I have been meaning to post these pics for awhile and just keep forgetting. Mishay and I have been going to a prenatal yoga class for the last 3 or 4 months every Tuesday night. It has been such a fun way to embrace this pregnancy. It seems like I don't have as much time to think, daydream and enjoy my pregnancy as I did the first time. Mothering a toddler keeps me running all day long..so to have 2 hours a week to just focus on me and my sweet little baby growing inside me is wonderful. It is so rewarding and peaceful to be able to focus all my time, energy and thoughts on my baby for those 2 hours. For anyone who is pregnant..or going to become pregnant..I recommend a prenatal yoga class. It is such a bonding experience...and my instructor says..that yoga babies are usually pretty mellow babies because they learn how to relax in utero. Who knows if thats true...I'll have to let ya know once she arrives.
I have actually missed the last couple of classes..and Mishay just had her baby this week (Congrats cuz!! He is soo adorable)...so I lost my yoga partner and will be going alone for the next 4-5 weeks..if I can make it that long. Its already getting difficult to do some of the positions with my huge belly. Cat and Cow give me braxton hicks contractions everytime.
Baby of mine...I want you to know I love you. So so much. I have since the moment I saw that second pink line on the pregnancy test. It is such a miracle to me that you are growing inside me..everyday getting bigger and stronger and more ready to come into this world. Your movements and kicks..and hiccups..give me more joy than I can put into words. Even though I feel big and huge..I love to look down at my belly and know you are there..safe and protected...nurtured by my body. What a miraculous gift us mothers are given. There is something so incredible about feeling a baby grow inside you and knowing you are the one providing everything they need. What a blessing from God. I can't wait to hold you in my arms little one. But for now, I am content to have you in my tummy..growing and changing...making me smile with each little kick.
P.S. Your Daddy loves you a whole lot too. And your big sister Kate likes to put her hand on my tummy and say "shes moving"! We are all so excited to welcome you into our family.

Summer Fun
Since I am sooo far behind in posting....Im going to lump several posts together. That's the best I can do to get myself caught up. This summer is flying by! I still can't believe I only have 6 wks left until we get to meet our sweet baby girl. We still have a lot of projects we want to get done before she arrives...so I keep hoping the summer will slow down a little...but Im not counting on it.
passing the hot summer days with backyard pool time and picnics

Even though they had a pool behind them, they were determined to all fit in the water table.

GNO at the Eclipse premier. My friend Sadie and her sisters planned an awesome party for the midnight showing! They rented a whole theater, made swag bags, had plenty of treats, arranged sponsors, had a raffle..ect. It was sooo much fun...and I even won the raffle grand prize... A free nights stay at Anniversary Inn!!! Just in time for our 5 year anniversary this month! Thanks Sadie for all your hard work. We all had such a fun time! I wish I had gotten a pic with Sadie too...but she was a busy little bee that night.

A night dedicated to fulfilling the pregnancy cravings! We had been dreaming about pizza from The Pie.and ice cream from Coldstone. Yumm!! We were not disappointed.

Last camping of the summer
A couple weekends ago we went camping to celebrate my friend Danielle's B-day. Kate loved it as always. She is an outdoor girl! Im so glad we went since it will probably be our last camp trip of the season. At 32 wks pregnant, I definately felt the pains of sleeping on an airmatress for 2 nights. Im happy we at least got to go a camp a couple times this summer. We love, love being in the mountains.

Happy Birthday Danielle!
