Last weekend we went up to a lake with some friends. We stayed in an amazing lakefront condo and our friends brought their boat. So with our friends, sunny weather, good food, and plenty of time on the lake.....you can probably guess we had an awesome time!! There were 10 adults and 7 kids....so it was one jammed packed condo of fun. The condo was actually about 2300 sq ft.....so we fit quite comfortably. This was my first time wakeboarding (well..I tried once before about 13 yrs ago..but could never get up) and it was a blast!! But the next day....muscles I didn't even know existed were sore! What a workout! Kate hated her life jacket at first....see pictures below...can you really blame her?!?! She didn't mind it as much once the boat got going. She loved playing in the water...except she was scared by the very small waves on the beach (can you even call them waves??). We had a great time and it was a nice way to finish up the summer. Thanks Travis and Lacee for providing the boat and arranging the accomodations. It was a blast!

Wyoming Trip
We recently took a road trip to Wyoming to visit Erics grandparents. Most of Erics family were able to go (minus a few....we missed you guys!)...so we caravanned with 4 cars on the 8+ hr drive. Ohh...the fun of traveling with an infant. Kate was actually a very good traveler. We only had a minor meltdown when we were going on 9 hrs of driving. I definately can't say I blame her. It was so fun to get together with Erics family. It was craziness with all the kids...but so fun to have them all together. In honor of the olympics, we had our own olympics for the kids. Kate participated in the "baby crawl"....but because it was on the grass...she didn't get very far. She hates grass! She was screaming and trying to touch as little grass as possible. The kids also enjoyed hunting for "indian" beads, playing Wii, and a customary trip to the museum. It was a quick trip..but definately worth it. It was so nice to spend time with Erics grandpa and grandma. Thanks for your wonderful hospitality...we love you. We are so happy you finally got to meet Kate!

Kate at 9 months
Kate is 9 months old! She weighs a whopping 15 lbs, which still only puts her in the 3% for her weight. She is average on her height...so she is our little string bean. She is full of energy and is always on the go.....no wonder she is so skinny...she burns off all her calories! She is still crawling and climbing up on everything. Her latest trick is climbing up the stairs. She hasn't figured out how to go back down them yet..so we still have a little work to do. She has 3 teeth and is currently cutting 3 more. I still can't believe my baby has teeth! And let me tell you...teething has not been a fun experience! Kate has been so miserable..I feel so bad for her! OUCH! She still just says dada (along with the variations...dad and daddy). But still no mamma. Meal time is quite the process in the Mazuran home. Kate makes such a mess..that we usually just feed her in her diaper (or maybe Im just not very good at getting it in her mouth). She has become very difficult to feed...especially if it is something she doesn't like. If she doesn't like it...she spits it everywhere (see video below) and waves her hands..usually hitting the spoon. She also has been doing this growling noise...its hilarious! We call her our little gremlin or growly monster. I have tried to get a good video of it...but she always stops right when I try to get it....so this video was the best I could get. We were in the car when I took it...so motion sick people beware....hehe. Kate is so much fun! We just love her to pieces!!

Twilight Addict...
So one of the reasons I have been so bad at blogging lately is because I have been reading every spare second I have. In preparation for reading Breaking Dawn, the 4th and final Twilight book, I decided to reread the entire series. Needless to say...I have been lost in the world of Edward and Bella for the last couple of weeks. I finally finished all 4 books...and am considering starting Breaking Dawn again. I know...Im obsessed..I need help...hehe! I just don't want it to end. Guess I should take a break though..so I can return to being a wife and a mother...hehe. Thanks Stepanie Meyers for your awesome writting....its been great!

Minnesota Trip
Kates 1st airplane ride
Our week at Karen and Bobs was filled with good food, fun with the family, pontoon cruises, bonfires and smores, wii tournaments (which I might add...Im still the reigning boxing champ...but man were my arms sore!) and who can forget...Liars dice! We had to conspire to take Aaron down....he's a tough one to beat. I still think Becky has an amazing poker face...haha! Who would expect that from sweet little Becky! Lets take her to Vegas! Bob stole the show with his unbelievably lucky shake that lost Nancy one of her dimes. The lake was a little more chilly than usual so we didn't spend as much time in the water as we did on the boat. Despite the cool water..most everyone still went waterskiing or swimming at least. Kate did NOT like the cold lake water.....but thought splashing her legs in Mikes hot tub was the best thing ever!
It was a great week and I think we easily gained several pounds! With Grandma, Karen and Nancy around..we were definately spoiled in the food department! The walleye fish fry and Grandma's meatballs were a hit as usual! Yummy! Thank you Karen and Bob for your amazing hospitality! We can't even begin to explain how special our vacations to your home are. Great times with family in the most beautiful scenery! Can't get better than that! Thank you, Thank you! We love you all!!
Our trip home..however..was anything but wonderful! We missed our flight...so were stranded in Fargo for a night. How could we miss our flight you might ask.... all we can say is that it was a lot of small setbacks (leaving late after having to go back for my glasses, construction, a wrong turn to the airport..etc) that added up to missing our flight by less than 5 min. We were there 30 min before our flight left...they just wouldn't let us board the plane. So we sat bewildered in the airport for a good hour desperately trying to figure out a way home..only to give in and realize we were going to be stuck in Fargo overnight (best case scenario) and may even be stuck there for several days. We would be on stand-by for the next available flight...which wasn't until 6am the next morning. Luckily we found an awesome hotel minutes from the airport....if anyone is ever stranded in Fargo, we highly recommend the Candlewood Suites! We felt like we were in some weird twillight zone of niceness. They even had a free homecooked pork loin roast dinner and free DVDs. It was great! So we cozied in, watched a movie and Kate had the best time. She thought it was great fun to try and stand on the bed. By some miracle (Thank you Lord!!!) we made it on both standby flights and were home by late morning the next day. It could have been a lot worse...so we were very thankful to be home. We learned a very important and costly lesson. Next time we would rather be to the airport several hours early!!
