Kate is a blankie girl. Her blankie...or "B" as she calls it, is her most favorite thing ever! Somedays, one blankie is still not enough. And she will gather several blankets to carry around.

Annual Lake Trip

Last year we stayed at these awesome condos at a lake close to our house. We loved it so much...we decided to make it an annual trip. It was a blast...and a little crazy too...since we had 12 adults and 8 kids! It was a full house.....but we decided to get two condos this year, so we had plenty of room. In the picture below, we actually had the entire bottom two levels of the condos. It was awesome! Unfortunately, due to the relentless rain we had in June, we spent one day inside. But we still got a couple days of boating in! I was able to get up on the wakeboard again. Yippie!! Kate loved the boat this year. She loved the wind in her hair when the boat would move. Can't wait for next year!

Kisses, Smelling flowers and Animal sounds

These are Kates new favorite things to do. She wants to give everything a kiss. Its so sweet. She even trys to kiss our cat. And of coarse her blankie, and favorite friend Milo (her stuffed monkey) get showered daily with kisses.


Eric taught Kate how to "smell" flowers. Now she has to smell every flower she sees....although she hasn't quite figured out the sniffing part yet. She blows air out of her nose instead of sucking it in. ohh...so cute!


Her other daily favorite is doing her animal sounds which now include: dog, cat, cow, tiger, bird, and sheep. I think her favorite is a cow because she frequently walks around "mooing"....

We thought we were being nice to our cat for letting him play outside more. And what do we get in return.....

Somehow, I think we will be keeping him inside again!

Nothing new..just the rainy time blues

Im seriously sick of rain! I think its been raining for almost 2 solid weeks. And not just a little drizzle...but overflowing rain gutters type of rain. My new grass and flowers love it. But I do not! No offense, but rain, rain..go away! I need some sun to brighten my summer slump.

Kate has lived in her rain boots lately.....I think I need to get some too. Even Grandma Nancy bought her and Kate a matching pair. My camara has been on hiatus. But the matching rain boots definately warrants a picture!
