Our fun included..
Game night at Chris and Sarah's....Yeah for Ticket to Ride and Settlers of Catan....some of our favorites. Nothing better than good company, fun games and a pan of fresh rice crispy treats! Unfortunately we learned that now Kate will not sleep in the pack'n'play without some serious protesting. She kept saying..."I go home to Kate's room, I sleep in Kate's bed". Eventually, she was so tired, she gave in and tolerated the pack'n'play.
A visit from some friends in Vegas. We were so excited to see them and we got to meet their sweet baby girl. Kate absolutely adored their older daughter Bailey. Kate followed her around like puppy dog and insisted on calling her "Lilly". She was sooo good with Kate. We tried to convince them to let us adopt her. Even though the high was only in the 60's that day...we were determined to have a backyard bonfire and make smores. Ohh how I love summer activities...now if the weather would only cooperate.
Memorial day included..sleeping ( I worked the night before..so I slept a few hours in the morning when I got home) planting my garden, heading up the canyon for a BBQ/bonfire, and snuggling in bed with my hubby for a movie. Again, it was a little chilly up in the canyon, but with a jacket and a fire...it was well worth it! Kate had a blast and stuffed herself with way too many goodies. I just love being in the mountains. There is just something so relaxing and refreshing about it. Going up the canyons for bonfires and camping are some of our favorite summer activities. We are so happy Kate enjoys it too....she maybe even enjoys it more. We were even lucky enough to be serenaded the whole way home by miss Kate. Her favorite songs right now are Old McDonald and the ABC's. So between to two songs...our car ride was filled with the sweet sounds of our little one singing away.
Inspecting the worms...she was so scared of touching them. She kept telling Tara to put it back on the ground

The highlights of our adventure for Kate:
Collecting rocks to throw in the river (when Monmmy or Daddy were with her of coarse)
Finding sticks to give to Lucy and Layla (the dogs)
Eating watermelon and lots of other treats
Dancing and playing with the other kids
Playing on the little patch of snow
Eating her Mickey Mouse rice crispie treat by the fire (Thanks Tara and Preston...she loved it)
Inspecting Worms with Tara.
What a fun weekend. A great start to a hopefully fantastic summer!
P.S. I just have to say that our little baby is busy kicking as I am writting this post. I keep seeing my stomach jump as she streches and kicks. I love feeling her move. It is one thing I will never get sick of.....and miss when Im not pregnant. She is always so active when I am sitting in bed at night....she will probably be a night owl like her mom and dad. I look forward to her "playtime" every night. Eric and I always relax in bed as we enjoy feeling her every move. I love you so much little one. Thank you for making me smile with yor sweet little kicks.
